An internal tag identifies the tunic to Heidelberg, Wolff & Co. of New York City, and is signed "Paul Nelson" A set of "U.S" tabs are present on the collar, with 2nd Lieutenant's bars on the shoulder straps and one service chevron on the left sleeve. No unit or branch markings present. Available records show at least one Lieutenant Paul Nelson in American service for World War I. Good overall, with some minor stains and moth activity.
