Manufactured c. 1889-1893. Boxed script "SWP/1892" (Samuel W. Porter) cartouche stamped on the left wrist, and an "R" marked Buffington rear sight. "8/NY/364" stamped into the top comb of the stock.

Good overall with some original finish, brown patina on the balance and silvered case colors. Stock has some mild wear and a stress line off the front of the trigger guard tang. Mechanically excellent.
