Bore Condition: The bore is darkened with pitting and softened rifling.
Description:

The included factory letter lists this revolver as chambered in .44 caliber, brass finish, and walnut grips with barrel length and grips not listed when shipped to U.S. Government Lt. Col. G.D. Ramsey c/o Col. DD. Tompkins Washington Arsenal, Washington, D.C. on August 7, 1862 as part of a shipment of 1,000 units. Right side of grip marked with a faint cartouche. Provenance: The Collection of Ken Gibilisco

Rating Definition:

Fair with a darkened patina, scattered pitting, and scattered dings. Grips are good with wear from use. Mechanically functions.
