Description:

Birmingham 1813-1855 proofs, a "3/LION" proof, and "LONDON" marked on the barrel. Lock plate marked "T.W. COFER & Co./PORTSMOUTH, VA", Lock plate marking belongs to Thomas W. Cofer (1828-1885) of Portsmouth, Virginia, he was more well known as a gunsmith who manufactured a small number of revolvers similar to the Whitney Navy revolvers for the Confederacy during the Civil War. Ramrod absent.

Rating Definition:

Fair overall with brown patina, scattered oxidation, and pitting. Stock has cracks, chips and dings, also has a duffel like cut midway up. Mechanically needs work, does not hold cock.
