The Kentucky Rifle Foundation lists him as appearing in tax records for 1837 to 1864. His locks were also used by other Lancaster gunmakers.

Rating Definition:

Fair with dark brown patina and moderate oxidation/pitting on the lock and barrel, replacement hammer screw, aged patina on the mounts, and chips, cracks, and repairs in the stock which has some attractive nice flame figure and distinct checkering. Mechanically functions (full-cock only).
