Manufactured c. 1830s-1850s. "J. Fordney/LANCASTER" marked lock and "J. Fordney/LANCASTER PA" marked barrel.

Good as refinished with mixed blue and brown coloration on the barrel, gray and brown patina, oxidation and pitting mainly towards the breech and lock, aged patina on the brass mounts, repaired crack in the butt, attractive flame figure, and moderate overall wear. Non-functional half-cock notch but otherwise mechanically functions.
