Manufactured c. 1946 utilizing unfinished and left-over World War II era components under French supervision. "SVW/46" code on the left of the slide, with the French occupation "star" marked on the right side. Matching serial numbers on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. Fitted with a pair of ribbed stamped metal grips and a "jvd" code blued magazine.

Very fine as built up with leftover war-time parts under French supervision, retaining most of the finish with plum coloration visible on the barrel and frame, some light handling marks/rough tooling marks visible under the finish, some minor cycling wear, and some light handling marks. The grips are fine with light edge wear and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
