Manufactured in 1944, importer mark on the underside of the barrel, "byf/44" marked receiver ring, "eagle/135" proofed, and "44D442" marked barrel. Mixed serial numbers on small parts, with the upper band, magazine floor plate, and trigger housing re-numbered to match. Fitted with a laminate handguard and stock with faint matching serial number on the underside. Includes a leather sling. Cleaning rod is absent.

Fine as refinished and assembled, with some minor pitting and handling marks under the finish, oxidation visible in the bore, some plum coloration, some softened markings, and light handling wear. The stock is also fine as sanded and re-oiled. Mechanically excellent.
