Manufactured c. 1863-1878. An "anchor" has been stamped on the top flat of the barrel.

Fair, with a mixed gray patina overall, shallow pitting and mild handling marks. The barrel has been filed smooth behind the rear sight, and the anchor stamp is a later addition. Traces of original silver are concentrated in the protected areas of the triggerguard. The left grip panel is fair with mild dings, while the right grip is cracked and rough. Mechanically functions.
