"5-43" dated Inland barrel with "CITY OF BROOKFIELD/#27" electro-stenciled on top under the handguard (likely as a local police inventory marking), "SI" marked type III barrel band with "CITY OF" on the right and "BROOKFIELD" electro-stenciled on the left of the bayonet lug, "N" marked front sight, "shield/H" marked type II adjustable rear sight, "PI" type IV operating rod, "6/N" parkerized flat-top bolt, and "O/W" marked milled trigger housing with a circled "S" marked rotary safety, "CC" type IV magazine catch, and "II" type III hammer. Fitted with a low-wood walnut stock marked "RSG/101AB" in the sling channel along with "ordnance wheel" on the right of the butt, an "IO" marked four-rivet handguard, and a blued "R-O" magazine. Includes an Imperial M4 bayonet and "B.M.Co." M8A1 scabbard, "J.Q.M.D./1942" marked dual cell magazine pouch, two extra blued magazines (marked "UQ" and "U"), an OD green "SHANE MFG. Co./1944" marked web carry case, a web sling, and a metal oiler. Very fine as arsenal refurbished and personalized for the City of Brookfield, retaining much of the finish with minor edge wear, some minor cycling wear, some dried grease, limited brown patina, and minor handling marks. The stock is also very fine as sanded and re-oiled with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is fine.
