Description:

The horn is engraved with a map of Boston, buildings, ships, a scene of three soldiers on each side facing off over "ROXBURY - 1775" and a central band reading "CALEB WEBB - BOSTON-". The base plug is a simple rounded piece with a small iron loop, and the throat has a faceted tip and wood stopper. The Siege of Boston started on April 19, 1775, and continued until March 17, 1776. During this period, control of the high ground at Roxbury allowed the Patriots to largely contain the British in Boston.

Rating Definition:

Very good with mostly distinct engraving, some small flakes and chips, and moderate wear at the base end.
