Bore Condition: The bore is partially darkened and has distinct rifling and some oxidation/pitting.
Description:

Manufactured c. mid-19th century. A small number of other Marsey & Silliver large bore rifles are known, including one in the Study Collection of the Royal Armouries and a 4-bore rifle owned by the Nizam of Hyderabad sold by Rock Island Auction Co. in June 2020.

Rating Definition:

Good with some traces of original finish, gray and brown patina, oxidation/pitting, detached middle ramrod ferrule, distinct engraving and checkering, and moderate overall wear, including some cracks in the stock. Mechanically fine.
