Manufactured c. 1883 per Donald Dallas' book on Purdey shotguns. Chambers measure 2 3/4", chokes measure improved cylinder/cylinder, and 14 1/4" LOP. Stock oval marked "C.F. Fox". Barrel rib marked "2".

Good overall with scarce traces of original finish in protected areas, gray patina in the balance, moderate wear, and oxidation/pitting. Stock cracked at the side plates. Mechanically functions.
