This lot consists of two ornate, beautifully decorated flintlock pistols with no maker markings. Manufactured without sights, the barrel has grooves on the breech end octagon section. The hammer, lock plate, flash pan, frizzen, side plate, metal surrounding the upper tang, trigger guard and buttcap feature an extensive chiseled floral and vine patterns. The flattened, chiseled buttcap also features a bird and three grotesque snake-like creatures. The full length stock has carved bands on the forearm at the mid-point. The ram rod pipes have relief chiseled bands. Complete with an iron tipped ebony ramrod.

Very good. The metal has been cleaned, showing some minor pitting on the barrel. Rear ramrod pipe is loose. The stock is very good with a few repairs near the buttcap and a few hairline cracks, along with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
