Manufactured by J.P. Sauer, Suhl. The top of the receiver is marked "S/147/G, the right side is marked with three stick wing "eagle/WaA214" proofs and the left side is marked with a stick wing proof and the serial number. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the serial number flanked by a stick wing eagle proof and a stick wing "eagle/WaA214" proof mark. The left side receiver wall is equipped with a short rail scope mount. The right side of the barrel below the rear sight is marked with three Eagle/WaA214" proofs. All visible numbers (partial and complete) match. Ramp front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards, slotted cleaning rod and mounted with a walnut stock and matching hand guard with three proof marks on the right rear, the remnants of a faint proof in the grip area, flat buttplate and leather cross hatch sling.

Very good as custom modified. The rifle retains 40% original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, thinning on the floor plate and trigger guard and a smooth brown patina on the front barrel band. The stock is very good with a few scattered minor dents and dings. The sling is good with some moderate wear. The markings on the stock and metal (unless noted above) are clear. The action is excellent.
