Description:

Fixed sights, with standard Walther legend on the left side of the slide. Nazi commercial "eagle/N" proofs on the chamber, slide, and barrel, with the serial number on the slide and frame. An "eagle/C" police acceptance mark is stamped on the left side of the frame below the magazine release button. Fitted with checkered Walther banner wraparound grip period marked "J.C. BAKER" on the left side. Complete with laminated capture papers dated September 15, 1945. The papers list this pistol by serial number and state that the pistol was a war trophy belonging to Pfc. James C. Baker.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The slide retains 95% original blue finish with some minor thinning and the flat sides taking on a purple hue. The frame retains 97% purple hued blue finish with thinning on the front grip strap. The trigger guard retains most of the blue finish. The grip is fine with some minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. There is some minor spotting and pitting.
