Manufactured by the Erfurt Arsenal. The top of the receiver ring is marked "crown / ERFURT / 1917", The right side of the receiver is marked with three imperial arsenal acceptance proofs and the left side is marked with the serial number and Imperial eagle. The left side wall is marked "Kar 98". Matching numbers on all visible parts with exception of the rear trigger guard screw (minor detraction!). Shrouded front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Mounted with a full length pistol grip stock and handguard with Imperial proof marks on the right side buttstock and on the wrist (faint).
