V.C. Schilling Karabiner 88 Bolt Action Carbine

Introduced alongside the Model 1888 rifle for issue to non-infantry troops. Blade and ladder sights, with "S/V.C.SCHILLING/SUH/891." on the receiver ring with 3 "crown/gothic letter" proofs. Fitted with a turned and flattened bolt handle. Matching numbers on bolt assembly, barrel bands, barrel, and magazine. Stock also has "crown/gothic" letter proofs.

ConditionGood. The carbine retains half of the faded original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina with extensive minor spotting (mostly on the magazine and receiver). The stock is mostly refinished with some minor dings and scratches.
