This is an excellent cased example of a Webley "WG" Target Model Double Action revolver. The revolver has a high polish commercial blue finish with bright trigger, hammer, cylinder latch and finely checkered, two-piece walnut grips. The revolver has adjustable target front and rear sights. The left side of the top strap is roll-stamped: "WG TARGET MODEL" and the lower left side of the frame is marked: "WEBLEY/PATENTS " followed by the Winged Bullet trademark. The caliber, "450/455" is stamped on the left side of the barrel lug. British "Crown/V", "Crown/CP" and "NP" proof and inspection marks are stamped on the right barrel lug. "Crown/V" and "Crown/CP" inspection marks are stamped over each cylinder chamber. A double arrow "Sold Out Service" mark is stamped on the left side of the barrel lug and a British Government "Broad Arrow" property mark is stamped on the left side of the top strap. "ENGLAND" export markings are stamped on the left side of the barrel lug. The full serial number "21181" is located on the right side of the frame and the partial serial number "181" is stamped on the bottom of the barrel lug. "81" is stamped on the bottom of the barrel latch. The revolver is complete with an oak British style case with a round brass escutcheon and brass reinforcing screws. The case interior is lined with blue felt and has six compartments including a twenty-round cartridge block. The case is complete with a brass cleaning rod.

Excellent. The revolver retains 90% of the bright original high polish blue finish. The finish has scattered light handling wear and scattered surface oxidation. The grips are in good condition with moderate handling wear. The bore is bright and the actions functions perfectly. All of the markings are crisp. The case is in very fine condition. The case exterior shows moderate handling and storage wear. The case interior is clean with no tears or compression marks. This is an excellent example of a Webley "WG" Target Model Double Action revolver with correct case.
