Hooded post front and tangent rear sights, with "-SV-" in the rear elevator position, "9 in burst" on the left side of the receiver, and matching numbers on the receiver cover, magazine cover and bolt. Smooth pistol grip stock with a brown leather sling, matching number on the left side of the butt, and a smooth buttplate. Included with the rifle is a retention authorization slip, dated 21 JAN 65 made out to a Captain William Paris by 7th Army HQ, identifying this rifle by serial numbers. Chiefly responsible for the post-World War II occupation of West Germany, elements of the 7th Army did participate in the Vietnam War.
Very good as refinished, with 95% current blue, showing light pitting under the finish, scattered handling marks and mild edge wear. Stock is very good, with light dents and a few small chips. Mechanically very good.
