Description:

This flintlock pistol is absent of any marks. Possibly British or Belgium in original, the buttcap, trigger guard and forend cap are brass and the remaining parts iron. The pistol is fitted with a iron swivel ramrod, full stock with a large lanyard ring on the butt and brass replacement end cap and ramrod retaining spring.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel has a lightly oxidized gray patina. The hammer and lock have been cleaned and have silver gray patina with some minor pitting. The brass components have a dark aged patina. The stock is good. There is a pieced in repair where the old ramrod pipe was removed. The swivel ramrod appears original to the gun, but for whatever reason the end cap was replaced and a spring was installed to replace the original ramrod pipe. There are a few minor chips, a couple of chips around the rear of the lock, and overall scattered minor scratches, dents and dings. The action is fine.
