Produced in 1918. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt address and patent marks divided by the Rampant Colt on the left side, and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on the right. The frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side ahead of the "eagle/ S16" inspection mark. Equipped with a wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, long smooth trigger, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard, walnut grips with diamond patterns and a Colt barrel with conjoined "HP" and "S" marks on the chamber.
Excellent, with 95% plus of the original black army finish, with a number of dings and handling marks overall. The rear grip strap mainspring housing has faded to brown. Grip screws are good replacements. Grips are sharp checkering and a few dings. Mechanically excellent.
