Description:

Manufactured in 1917. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt address and patent markings with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations on the left side and "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY" on the right. The frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side along with a GHS inspection mark. Equipped with a wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, long smooth trigger, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard, and walnut grips with diamond patterns.

Rating Definition:

fine. The slide retains 30% of original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The remaining surfaces retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. There is some minor spotting which is mostly concentrated on the left side of the slide near the muzzle. The grips are good with some minor nicks and wear in the checkering, along with a minor indentation and a few minor gouges on the left panel. Mechanically excellent.
