Description:

This powder horn is approximately 14 inches long with a flush-fitted wooden base with eyehook. The horn has a 6 1/2 inch section carved near the spout with the body of the horn featuring a scrimshawed nautical theme with the following features: Broad scrollwork with crossed arrows above crossed American flags at the top. In the middle is an eagle over an anchor flanked by five pointed stars and there is a woodland scene incorporating a few animals and a hunter. The lower selection features a large owl, the letters "LLAP", and two ships near a lighthouse with light keeper's home.

Fine, with some minor scratches and a few hairline age cracks.
