The matching serial number is marked on the breech end of the barrel, on the inside of the trigger guard, on the left side of the frame and hammer spring under the grip and on the inside of each grip panel. The frame is engraved with a floral scroll design and etching on the detachable nipple shield. Finished blue and fitted with smooth two piece bag shaped walnut grips with silver oval above the screw on each panel. Complete in a wooden case with brass disk inset on the outside of the lid, wine colored velvet lining, a leather wrapped powder flask, R. Walker cap tin, a cardboard cap container and iron ramrod with wooden handle.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrels have 75% original blue remaining with the balance a smooth brown patina. The hammer retains much of the original case colors with the balance having a dark patina. The frame retains 50% bright original finish in protected areas with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The trigger guard has a smooth mottled gray patina with flashes of the original blue finish. The grips are excellent with 90% original varnish and a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The case is also very fine with some scattered minor dents and dings on the exterior and some moderate contact wear on the lining. The leather wrap on the flask has separated and come loose, but remains on the flask and the ramrod is good.
