The matching serial number 10 is marked on the barrel, inside of the trigger guard, on the left side of the frame under the grip and on the inside of each grip panel. The frame and metal grips (possibly pewter) are engraved with a floral scroll design (they are both internally numbered "10"). Complete in a wooden case with a paper dealer label affixed to the inside of the lid, green velvet lining, nickel powder flask, silver cap tin, brass bullet mold and cleaning/ramrod with wooden handle.

Rating Definition:

Period refinished. The barrels and nipple shield retain 20% blue finish (over minor pitting), mainly in the protected areas. The trigger guard has a smooth brown patina, the frame and hammer a smooth gray patina and the grips have a smooth silver gray patina. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is fine. The case is very good with exception of repairs on the side walls of the lid and scattered minor dings and scratches. The label is 98% intact with a small area worn from contact with the pistol, the lining shows some contact wear and soiling, and the accessories are good.
