Description:

This is a truly unique pre-war Polish VIS 35 semi-automatic presentation handgun. This specific model of pistol is an extremely rare example of a very early Polish Radom pistol in its own right as it has an extremely low serial number of "0034" that is dated 1936 and is equipped with the very desirable stock slot in the backstrap. These Radom pistols originally finish all the testing and trials in late 1934 or 1935 and initial production of these models didn't start until very late 1935 or early 1936. The earliest dated slide markings for these pistols are 1936, consequently with this serial number, making this specific example one of the very first VIS-35 models ever produced. The left side of the slide has the following gold inlayed inscription on the left side of the slide in script lettering; Ministrour Sprow Wojskowych/ Gen Dyw. Touleusproui Kospuryckiemu" which translates to Minister of Military Affairs to Division/General Tadeausz Kasprzycki.". The right side of the slide is marked in two lines in two blocks; "F.B. RADOM/1936 with the Polish Eagle in between, next to VIS-wz.35/pat. Nr.15567", with the serial number "0034" marked on the right side of the frame next to the take down pin and it is also stamped inside the slide. The barrel has a single Polish eagle proof on the left side of the barrel lug. The pistol is fitted with a set of original Polish Radom black checkered plastic grips and a single original blue magazine with the double pins through the base plate. This pistol is mentioned extensively in Bob Berger's book "Know Your Radom".

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 99% of the rust blued finish remaining overall with clear and sharp factory proofs and slide markings. The gold inlaid presentation inscription is also in beautiful condition with nice clear markings. The grips are also in excellent condition. Just a beautiful example of a super rare, truly extraordinary Polish Radom Presentation pistol.
