The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/ 1884, 1888 and 1895 patent dates, the left side is marked "COLT D.A. 38" and the Rampant Colt is marked on the left side rear of the frame. The matching assembly number "774" is marked on the frame, crane, cylinder release, and grips, the serial number appears on the butt. Blade front, frame notch rear sights, all blue finish with polished hammer sides and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT"/Rampant Colt at the top.
