OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Description:

Possibly Turkish or Moroccan in origin. Blade and notch sights, with a swamped muzzle, extensive silver leafy vine pattern inlays, and a set of three unidentified silver proof stamps just ahead of the rear sight. The lock and hammer are adorned with engraved geometric and crescent moon shaped silver panels, an engraved silver disc is fitted to the flash pan, and the lock is equipped with a sliding pan cover and an engraved hammer and frizzen. Smooth straight grip stock, with four pierced-through engraved silver barrel bands, extensive silver wire vine and leaf inlay around the lock and on the butt and a bone buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Good, with a mixed brown patina on the steel, along with scattered handling marks and a small amount of pitting at the muzzle and flashpan. The stock is also good, with a few chips, a small amount of loose wire, a crack in the buttstock and a loose buttplate with minor age cracking.
