Manufactured in 1942. Standard two line address / 1897, 1903 patent date marking on the left side of the slide with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations and "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBER 380 HAMMERLESS" on the right side of the slide. The Colt "VP" proof along with the letter "T" and a "W" proof are stamped on the upper left front of the trigger guard and "73" on the opposite. The left side of the frame has the Western Australia Police marking: "W.A.P. / No 183". Consignor notes states that while intended for the Western Australia Police, the pistol was shipped to England in January 1942. Chrome plated. Checkered Colt medallion grips with an lanyard loop on the left side. The bottom of the magazine is marked "CAL. 380 / COLT". With a two piece cardboard shipping box with a Colt shipping label on the lid.

Replated. The pistol retains 98% of the chrome plating with a patch of gray on the rear left side of the frame and some minor scratches. There is some minor finished over pitting, with even pitting on the grip safety. The grips are fine with a few minor bruises in the overall crisp checkering. The box is fine with pen writing on the lid.
