Introduced in 1922. Sporting type rear and marble 34W blade front sights with receiver and upper tang tapped for sight mounting. Top barrel flat marked with the two line address/patent marking with "22 S-L & L-R" on upper left flat. Upper tang marked "MARLIN / MOD. 39". Full length magazine and smooth forearm with steel forend, and pistol grip stock with checkered hard rubber factory buttplate.

Very fine. The barrel and magazine retain 90% original blue finish thinning to a gray in areas. The receiver and lever retain 97% original case colors. The wood is fine, the stock has had a coat of varnish with most of the crazed varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches overall. Mechanically fine.
