Classic British late 19th or early 20th Century police helmet. The navy blue helmet has a felt cover with blackened metal insignia and fittings. The insignia consists of a stylized star topped by a crown with a silver rose in the center. The insignia is embossed "WEST RIDING CONSTABULARY". The black cast metal top-piece is embossed with a floral design. The helmet has a green oil-cloth lining with russet sweat band and patent leather chinstrap.

Excellent. The chinstrap and sweat band show wear but the helmet is in excellent condition.
