Rating Definition:

1) Very good. The blade shows minor spotting and light handling marks, the brass hilt has been polished but is developing an attractive patina. The leather grip cover and twisted wire wrap are in excellent condition. The iron scabbard is free from dents and has an even brown patina. 2) Excellent, with some mild spotting and polishing marks on the blade, a mixed aged patina on the brass, mild cracking of the leather, and some traces of a nickel finish on the sheath, which shows spotting and material loss at the seam.
