Description:

Manufactured circa 1873-1880 as a rimfire revolver. Brass pin and hammer notch sights, with the one line Hartford barrel address, two July patent dates marked on the left side of the frame, "36 CAL" on the left trigger guard shoulder, and the stagecoach holdup scene on the cylinder. The barrel, frame and trigger guard are numbered to the gun with the wedge unmarked, cylinder renumbered to the gun, and back strap is mismatched by a single digit (18613). Fitted with a smooth one piece varnished grip.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains 90% plus original nickel finish with most of the loss on the back strap along with some very scattered minor edge wear and some minor flaking on the trigger guard. Most of the cylinder scene remains. "Staples" is lightly scratched on the left barrel flat and "GPS" is lightly scratched on the right side of the frame with some minor dings on the butt. The grip is revarnished with half of the varnish remaining along with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
