Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel shows 70% original blue finish mixed with smooth mottled brown patina. The frame retains 90% original blue finish with scattered flaking, scattered brown patina and minor spotting on the back strap, some high edge wear and a few minor scratches. The cylinder has a brown patina with the scene fading, but visible, and some flash pitting around the nipple recesses. The hammer and loading lever show strong original case colors with a smooth mottled patina and silver gray on the balance. The grips are also very fine with nearly all of the original vanish remaining, some minor wear on the lower edges and some scattered minor dings and scratches. The barrel marking is clear. The action is fine. The otherwise fine case lid slightly warped with a minor crack, a few minor cracks on the bottom, and overall scattered minor dings and scratches. The lining is beginning to come loose from the lid and shows some fraying on one edge, overall there is some moderate contact wear and some staining. All accessories are very good or better.
