Railway Express Agency Signs and Tools

1) Railway Express Agency pillow top painted metal sign, 19 1/8" x 13 1/8", depicting a rail yard scene. 2) Railway Express Agency sign, heavy double sided cardboard with metal rim, 14" square. 3) Enamel painted sigh, one sided, 8" square, similar to 2. 4) J. Brooks & Co. (New York) Railway Express Agency seal stamp, round dies marked "RY.EX.AGY" and "1850", 1897 patent date on arm. 5) Express Agency seal stamp, marked "NPExCo" and "PORTANG-/ELES, Wash.". 6) Railway Express Agency marked hatchet, 3 1/2" blade with claw hammer back, "RY. EX. AGY" stamped on center flat and wood grips.

Condition1) Overall good with scratching of paint. The letter's "BY" have been scratched on to the surface. 2) Good with weathering and splotches of green paint. 3) Very good with scratching and wear. 4 & 5) Good with traces of black paint. 6) Claw broken, otherwise fine with battering and some chips on the grips.
