Made by Winchester of Canada. This is 1 of only 2 prototype Model 490's made and both are offered in this auction. Hooded ramp bead front sight and folding leaf rear sight, with the Ontario address on the left side near the breech and "MODEL 490/ JX 1" hand stamped on the receiver. Fitted with a partially jeweled bolt and a grooved rail on top of the frame. Checkered pistol grip stock, with a black plastic grip cap and Winchester checkered buttplate.
