Imperial German Military DWM 1917 Dated Luger Pistol with Holster

The chamber is dated "1917" and the toggle has the "DWM" monogram. Three crown/script proofs are stamped on the right barrel extension, with the Imperial eagle proof on the extension, barrel, breechblock and frame under the takedown latch. Properly marked safety position and extractor. Full serial number with "a" suffix on the barrel and frame and the full serial number without the suffix on the barrel extension. Matching partial serial number "69" on the takedown latch, side plate, sear, safety bar, thumb safety, extractor, toggle, and toggle link. The "69" on the side plate differ slightly from those on other components. Rust blue finish with straw colored small parts, checkered grips (right panel has the partial serial number "69", the left panel appears to be beech rather than walnut and is not serial numbered), and nickel wood base magazine numbered to different gun. Complete with a leather holster, takedown tool, and extra wood base magazine.

ConditionVery fine overall. The pistol retains 90% of the original rust blue finish. There are some minor spots of light pitting on the muzzle, high points on the right side of the frame and receiver and on the high edges of the side plate. The straw colored components have 60% of the original finish. The stocks show moderate handling wear and are in fine condition. The holster is very good with some minor handling marks and some missing stitching, with a repaired belt loop. A solid example of a WWI Imperial Luger.
