HARRINGTON" on the top flat and broad floral engraving at the breech end. One barrel is 20" in length, 34 percussion caliber with six groove rifling and a blade front and single leaf folding rear sights and the other is 24 3/4" in length, 20 gauge with a brass blade front and fixed iron rear sights. The box lock screw breech action is engraved with broad floral scrolls and is equipped with double set triggers. Walnut stock with German silver buttplate, ornate patch box, cheekpiece panel and wrist panels all finely engraved with scroll work. The upper tang is fitted with German silver rail for rear sight. Complete in a wooden case with green felt lining, powder flask, nipple wrench and two cap tins.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrels have been cleaned during period usage and have aged, but remain bright for the most part. There are strong amounts of brown showing on the under ribs, more so on the shotgun barrel. There is some gold inlay remaining on the band around the breech end of the shotgun barrel on the two lower flats. There are a few small areas of minor pitting on the rifle barrel. The receiver has a smooth grey patina. The German silver has an even aged patina. The stock shows signs of some light sanding, has been revarnished and remains fine with a few minor dents along the bottom and a few minor dings overall. The engraving remains crisp. The action is fine and the bores are good. The case is good.
