A) Stevens Ideal No. 45 Single Shot Rifle

Description:

Manufactured circa 1894 to 1933. Sights have been removed (front slot unfilled, rear slot with Marble filler block), with Vernier tang peep sight. Two line Stevens Arms Company address marked upside down on upper right barrel flat and "22-L.R." on left flat. Lower tang has the serial number. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with Swiss style buttplate. Blue with casehardened receiver, "S" lever, and buttplate. Barrel numbered to gun. Action face marks 45.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The barrel retains virtually all of the blue finish with a few very light handling marks. The receiver, lever, and buttplate retain 97% of the case colors. The wood has a few minor handling marks.

Description:

Manufactured circa 1894 to 1933. German silver blade and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights. Two line Stevens Arms & Tool address marked upside down on upper right flat and "25-RF" on upper left flat. Left side of receiver has Stevens trademark information with upper tang tapped for sight mounting and lower tang with serial number and model number ("44"). Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate. Blue with casehardened receiver, "S" lever, and buttplate. Barrel is numbered to gun.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel retains 75% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina with a series of minor dings near the muzzle and numerous long minor scratches overall. The receiver, lever and buttplate retain 95% original case colors. The freshened wood is very good with the forearm and buttstock having been repaired along with some minor handling marks.
