Manufactured in 1910. Standard nickel steel marking on the left rear of the barrel as well as "30 U.S.", two line address/patent marking on the left side of the receiver and the serial number on the lower tang. Blade front, Marble's semi-buckhorn rear and adjustable receiver mounted Lyman peep sight. Blue finish and mounted with a smooth forearm, with Schnabel tip and ebony insert, and straight grip stock with an iron crescent buttplate.
Fine. The barrel retains 70% thinning original blue finish with areas fading to a smooth plum and a very small area of minor spotting. The front sight has been crudely modified / replaced and there are a few minor dings and scratches on the base. The receiver retains 70% original blue finish with high edge wear and areas faded to a smooth gray patina. The lever is a mix of original thin blue finish and smooth gray patina. The buttplate has a smooth silver gray patina. The wood is fine retaining much of the original varnish, with scattered overall minor dents, dings and scratches. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
