Manufactured in 1924 this is an example of a heavily engraved Premier Grade Model 8F rifle. Equipped with a Lyman ivory bead blade front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, and tang peep sight. The top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight is marked "MODEL 8-F-" next to the two line address/patent dates marking, all within a light border engraving. The sides of the breech end of the barrel feature 4 1/2" scroll engraved wedges. The receiver features an extensive scroll and punch dot engraving which extends to the tangs, safety, magazine, and trigger guard. The sides of the receiver also have game scene engravings (three deer on the left and a deer and a bear on the right) and a bear head on top. The G pre-fixed serial number is marked on the lower tang and in a banner on the frame underside. Nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with buttstock initial oval, forearm takedown screw has a small wire swiveling loop, and Remington-UMC trademark embossed hard rubber buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 99% of the original blue finish with a small patch of gray on the receiver (left side) and a series of minor scratches on the barrel. The wood is very fine with the exception some scattered minor handling marks (couple minor dents) and textured areas of the varnish on the heavily waxed buttstock. Overall the checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
