Manufactured in 1914 and subsequently factory re-barreled. Equipped with blade front sight and Lyman tang peep sight, with the rear sight removed (dovetail slots unfilled) and the top of the receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The receiver and trigger guard feature a scroll engraving with a zigzag line border. The breech end of the barrel also features a scroll engraving which surrounds the Remington address, patent, trademark, and caliber markings. Nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Remington grip cap, buttstock sling stud, and checkered steel buttplate marked with the Remington-UMC trademark.
