Manufactured in 1897. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address ahead of the rear sight, the left rear is marked with the two line nickel steel marking and the top flat at the breech is marked "30 W.C.F.". Replacement Stewart front sight, three leaf rear (middle 100 yard leaf absent), and short range tang mounted peep sight. Blue finish with casehardened hammer, lever and buttplate, full magazine tube and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel end cap and crescent buttplate.
Fine. The barrel, magazine tube and receiver retain 60% original thin blue finish mixed with smooth brown and gray patina. The hammer and lever have a smooth mottled gray patina and the buttplate has a smooth silver gray patina. The wood has been sanded and refinished and remains very good with only a couple of minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
