Light floral engraved hammer and lock plate, with "JAS GOLCHER" marked on the lock plate. Fixed sights, with a barrel that gauges at approximately .52 caliber percussion. The ramrod pipes, trigger guard, forearm cap, crescent buttplate, and patch box are brass. The patch box is engraved with a bird/hunting dog scene which incorporates winged snakes and a floral motif. Plain trigger and full length stock with three barrel wedges with silver escutcheons, four silver over lays on the buttstock, and a checkered wrist.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The rifle has a smooth dark brown patina with some minor flash pitting and a few tool marks at the breech. The brass has a polished appearance. The stock is also very good with exception of a repair near the front ramrod pipe, some minor handling marks, and a couple hairline cracks, with worn checkering. Mechanically fine.
