Measuring approximately 14" tall, this bronze depicts an red stag bull standing tall, with the cow resting at his side and the calf standing underneath. The sculpture is attached to a rectangular marble base measuring 7" x 15" x 1 1/2", and is signed "P.J. MENE", for Pierre Jules Mene (French 1810-1871), a successful and prolific animalier sculptor of his time.
