This is an attractive example of a desirable 1923 Commercial Navy Luger. These 1923 model Lugers fall into a specific serial number block that ranged from approximately 73,000 to 96,000 with this one falling almost right in the middle of that serial number block. These were usually made from newly manufactured parts that were for sale both inside Europe and the United States. The top of the chamber area is blank and it has the standard DWM logo on the front toggle. The barrel extension, underside of the barrel and left side of the breechblock have only a single "Crown N" commercial proofmark. The front of the frame is the only part that carries the full serial number (81361) with the last two digits (61) stamped only on the trigger, take down lever, side plate and breechblock. It has the standard inverted "V" front sight with the standard two position Navy rear sight graduated for 100 and 200 meters. These pistols have a rust blued metal finish with the straw colored small parts, with standard checkered walnut grips. It is complete with one nickel plated magazine with a wooden base that is numbered "+7046 +"
