The chamber is marked "byf / 41" with an eagle firing proof and serial number on the left side and three eagle/655 proofs on the right side. Eagle/WaA655 proofs are stamped on the trigger guard and floor plate, which are also numbered to the gun. The barrel, receiver, bolt assembly, follower, trigger guard screws, barrel bands, stock and buttplate are also numbered to the gun. The barrel at the breech is marked "D741" along with three eagle/655 proofs. Smooth stock with handguard, cupped buttplate, and sling. The buttstock is stamped with the Heer proof and two eagle/WaA655 proofs on the right side with a pair of eagle/WaA655 proofs in the grip area. Buttplate is marked "brg / 41/ eagle/WaA487 proof".

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown (mostly on the barrel bands, trigger guard and floor plate). The stock is also excellent with some minor dings and scratches and a few minor dents. Mechanically excellent.
