PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED

This is an example of a reworked Mauser K98 rifle. The left side rear of the barrel is marked "35 8 X 57 JS eagle/n Shul shield proof 544", with the 5 and first 4 double stamped. The left side of the receiver ring is marked with an "eagle/N" proof and the left side wall is marked "Mod. 98". The underside of the bolt handle is marked with a Nazi "eagle/63" proof and the rear of the bolt assembly has two Nazi "eagle/37" proofmarks. The front barrel band and floor plate have been electro penciled "35" to match the gun and the floor plate attaching hardware has two stick wing "eagle/77" proofmarks. Hooded blade front sight and rear tangent sight graduated to 2,000 meters, milled parts and mounted with a smooth unmarked stock (not drilled for a cleaning rod), with a cupped buttplate and a brown leather cross hatch sling.

Refinished with 99% blue finish remaining on the barrel, barrel bands, bolt release lever, safety, trigger guard and floor plate. The receiver and bolt have a copper tint, with some minor pitting. The stock is very good with some chipping around the takedown disk and sling slot, and overall some minor dings and scratches. The sling is also very good with a few minor scuffs and wear. Mechanically excellent.
