This is a very scarce and desirable Mauser Banner Commercial Luger with "Crown/U" commercial proof marks on the left barrel extension and breechblock. The chamber is dated "1939" and the toggle has the Mauser banner trademark. Properly marked safety position and extractor. Full serial number on frame (with "v" suffix), barrel extension, and barrel, with partial serial number (46) on the takedown latch, side plate, sear, safety bar, thumb safety, extractor, toggle, and toggle link. All blue finish with checkered grips and blue aluminum base Nazi police proofed magazine numbered to a different gun. Complete with leather holster, takedown tool, and blue aluminum base Nazi police proofed magazine numbered to a different gun. The back of the holster is stamped "A. FISCHER / BERLIN C.2" over a Nazi eagle proof.

Very fine. The pistol retains 90% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina with moderate muzzle wear. The takedown lever has been professionally repaired/refinished. There is an area of heavy wear on the rear of the right panel, otherwise the grips are fine with some scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is good with four hole repair on back, minor flex wear and some minor handling marks.
